Glen has been a contributor to some of the biggest selling records in country music as one of the most popular session recording artists, and most recently he was widely featured on the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Will the Circle Be Unbroken (Volume 3)" release on Columbia Records. Glen Duncan won the Grammy for Best Country Instrumental in 2001 with the recording of Foggy Mountain Breakdown with Earl Scruggs. He has also recorded with artists as diverse as Bill Monroe, Shania Twain, John Denver, George Strait, Mark Knopfler, Reba McEntire, George Jones, Faith Hill, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Randy Travis, Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, The Statler Brothers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jimmy Davis, Hank Snow, Kenny Chesney, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, and literally scored of others. His awards have been numerous. In addition to The Grammy in 2001, Glen has been the SPGMA Fiddler of the Year four times, and was nominated for the CMA Instrumental Performer of the Year in 2002. He has won Song of the Year twice at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards, won the IBMA Recorded Event of the Year twice, SPGMA Album of the Year, and has been nominated for two other Grammy awards. He was also a Flameworthy Video nominee for 2002.
