Pam Gadd

Pam Gadd
Pam Gadd was first noticed by the country music audience in 1989 when the single “Breaking New Ground” hit the top ten for her country group Wild Rose. Pam was the lead singer for the group, as well as a crack musician and influential songwriter. This “all girl” group (and yes, that was how they were described back then!) recorded for MCA records, and they came to Nashville long before the Dixie Chicks.
Pam and the other members of Wild Rose, stayed true to their brand of country music; instrumental power, an exciting stage show, and tight vocal harmonies. Their next hit single, “Go Down Swingin’” proved the group was headed for the top. Now we know that radio’s taste for country music soon changed, becoming much more homogenized and less creative, and banjo’s and fiddle’s weren’t played much on the radio, but Wild Rose had made an impact.
Pam Gadd has been performing since 1979. She has been featured in 6 videos and 8 album projects and appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Show with David Letterman, Nashville Now and Hee Haw among other television productions. She was nominated for the 1999 Emerging Artist award by the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) and has been a featured banjo player on numerous recordings, including one with Emmylou Harris on Terri Clark’s release.  After this release Pam played and recorded with Porter Wagoner.
As a songwriter Pam Gadd’s songs have been recorded by artists like Carl Jackson, John Starling, Doyle Lawson, Terri Clark, and The Coon Creek Girls.
On "The Time Of Our Lives," Pam Gadd is joined by 1999 CMA Musician of the year Randy Scruggs (guitar), and Country Music star Marty Stuart (mandolin). All of the songs were written or co-written by Pam with the exception of “Acoustisizer,” a blazing instrumental written by Randy Scruggs. Pam’s solid Banjo work is present throughout, as is the work of bluegrass music luminaries Glen Duncan (fiddle, Longview) and Rob Ickes (IBMA Dobro player of the year, Blue Highway).
